The Yamaha Champions Riding School is experiencing a wave of success, as its two-day schools at their home track of New Jersey Motorsports Park are sold out in May. However, realizing some students either don’t have the time or money to attend a two-day school, YCRS has organized one-day clinics at NJMP, scheduled for May 7 and 8.

For $999 riders can bring their own bikes to either single-day schools May 7th and/or 8th; another $300 rents a Yamaha R6 fresh and ready to go.

“It’s like packing an R1 engine into a TTR125 frame!” says lead instructor, Nick Ienatsch. “The whole day is aimed at getting the Champions Habits across clearly and concisely…and in a manner that will stay with the students for the rest of their lives. The day starts quick and accelerates from there.”

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
