Dakar 2015 Teaser Video
One of the most grueling motor races in the world, the Dakar Rally, is set to get underway in less than a week. If you’re not already amped up for the off-road desert race that will take competitors across Argentina, Chile and Bolivia, maybe this video will help.
The first official teaser video to be released by Dakar organizers, it features more than just bikes, but cars, SUVs, quads and trucks as well. Sure they have four wheels, but Dakar is gnarly no matter what vehicle is chosen to tackle it. In total, the 2015 Dakar will cover 5,600 miles, divided into 13 stages. Stage one starts January 4 and covers 520 miles, from Buenos Aires to Villa Carlos Paz. Stay up to date on all the happenings from Dakar at the official Dakar website.
Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast.
