2015 Husqvarna and KTM Models With 4CS Forks Recalled

KTM and Husqvarna are recalling 2015 off-road models equipped with WP Suspension‘s 4CS forks. The four-chamber forks were new upgrades to several models in Husqvarna’s and KTM’s 2014 lineups, which may have contributed to the problem.

According to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, a change in the production process may have resulted in insufficient tightening of the piston rod and screw cap. Should the piston rod detach from the screw cap, the forks may get damaged and potentially seize, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has yet to announce a recall for the U.S. market but we expect to hear one in the next few days.

Husqvarna and KTM dealers will inspect the affected units and, if necessary, correct the connection between the piston rod and screw cap.
