BMW announced a new special edition version of the K1300S equipped with some upgraded parts and a unique paint job.

The 2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport comes with a new Black Storm Metallic, Light White and Lupine Blue Metallic color scheme, with a bit of red striping for good measure. A band of black running across the top of the bike from nose to tank to tail is complemented by a tinted windscreen.

The Motorsport edition also comes with an Akrapovic silencer and upgraded rider and passenger footpegs and forged wheels and from BMW’s High Performance parts catalog.

Mechanically, the Motorsport edition is the same as the 2014 model, powered by a 1293cc water-cooled I-4 with four valves per cylinder and two overhead camshafts. Suspension consists of a duolever system up front and a paralever rear with single-sided cast aluminum swingarm. Twin 320mm discs with four-piston calipers are mounted to the front wheel while a single 265mm disc with a two-piston floating caliper is at the rear. As with all BMW models, ABS is fitted as standard equipment.

In Germany, the 2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport is priced at €19,950 (including a 19% Value-Added Tax). U.S. pricing and availability remain to be determined.
