In fashion circles, John Varvatos is a well known menswear designer. With an eye toward design, Varvatos has turned his attention away from the catwalk and into the realm of motorcycles, teaming up with The Black Motorcycles to create a custom-fabricated 1980 CB750c Cafe Racer to be unveiled in New York City on June 26. This bike will then be auctioned off, with proceeds benefitting Road Recovery, a New York-based non-profit organization helping at-risk teens through the dynamic process of creating, planning and executing their own live concert events and recording projects.

The bike itself combines the signature artistry and rock n’ roll style of John Varvatos with the expertise and craftsmanship of The Black Motorcycles. The motorcycle features chromed steel components, rich artisanal leathers and handcrafted details, balancing function and authentic beauty.

You can learn more about the motorcycle and the Road Recovery charity by watching the video below. To place a bid on the motorcycle, click here to go to the auction site. The CB750 Cafe Racer is estimated to be worth $30,000. Bidding ends on Thursday, July 10, at 2pm Eastern time.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
