The Velocity Channel has signed a five-year agreement to broadcast the Isle of Man TT in the U.S.

Velocity, an automotive channel owned by Discovery Communications, will air seven one-hour race shows during Isle of Man TT week, starting with the 2014 event this June. Velocity’s coverage won’t be live; the channel will air its shows within 24 hours of the race, with content tailored for an American audience.

The broadcasting rights were negotiated with North One TV, the British company that has produced coverage of the Isle of Man TT since 2009. North One TV also established new broadcasting deals for the Isle of Man TT with Fox Sports in Australia and ITV in the U.K.

“These three new deals are the cornerstone of our distribution plans,” says Neil Duncanson, chief executive officer of North One TV. “ITV have been excellent partners here in the UK and the figures for the USA and Australia are growing fast.”

Velocity broadcasts in high definition, with a reach of about 45 million homes in the U.S. Check your local television provider for availability.
