Canadian company Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has an ongoing relationship with the National Hockey League (NHL), and it’s latest iteration has sports legends telling how much they like riding Can-Am Spyders. An earlier video had NASCAR racer Danica Patrick riding the Spyder around Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Well, not BRP has tapped six-time Stanley Cup champion Mark Messier to use his own special technique to reach out to potential riders. Capitalizing on Messier’s famous prediction of a come-from-behind conference finals win that carried on to a Stanley Cup win, the spot has him making all kinds of predictions.

“Mark Messier represents a strong fit for Can-Am Spyder,” said Tom Riley, Can-Am Spyder marketing director. “We believe that everyone should enjoy the adventure and freedom of riding the open road. The Can-Am Spyder vehicle enables this by offering the unique combination of exhilaration, stability and control, and his history with the brand has Mark well placed to help us get the message out to potential Can-Am Spyder riders.”

In addition to this two minute promotional video is part of BRP’s role as the presenting sponsor of the 2014 Stanley Cup® Playoffs Bracket Challenge featured on NHL.com. Fans can go online and select the winners of the playoffs, and one winner of the challenge will receive an NHL team-branded Can-Am Spyder.
