Zero Motorcycles today announced that its 2014 model line is now available at authorized dealers across Europe and North America. In response to increased demand for its electric motorcycles, Zero dealerships will be offering test rides in time for the spring riding season. Demo’s can be scheduled via the Zero Motorcycles website and the motorcycles are now available for purchase through dealerships.

The 2014 line is more powerful, more refined, and has more features. At the core is the most advanced Z-Force powertrain to date. The new Zero SR, which we’ve taken on a quick test ride, sets the performance standard with 24% more power and a stunning 106 ft-lbs of torque. The Zero S, Zero SR, and Zero DS can now cover 171 miles in the city (88 miles highway) with the optional Power Tank. And with the Zero FX, which we’ve raced for 24 hours, romped in the dirt, and to the top of Pikes Peak, your inner hooligan can come out. With loads of torque and little weight, it likes to wheelie.

Throughout the line, riders will find new bodywork, neatly integrated componentry, cleaner instrumentation, improved braking and better handling. Owners may also customize the performance settings of their motorcycles with the Zero Motorcycles App, now available in English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
