Chinese-owned Italian manufacturer Benelli announced it will present a new sport-touring version of its naked BN600R at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan.

The 2014 new Benelli BN600GT is powered by the same 600cc inline-Four engine powering the BN600R. For the naked roadster, the engine claims an output of 80.4 hp at 11,500 rpm and 38.4 ft-lb. at 10,500 rpm, though we won’t know if the GT will carry the same specifications until the official unveiling at EICMA.

The frame appears to be a similar steel trellis and aluminum plate design as the BN600R but the BN600GT sports a different banana-shaped swingarm, making room for an underslung exhaust compared to the BN600R’s twin underseat silencers.

A fairing and windscreen provide wind protection and a more upright seating position help make the BN600GT better suited for touring duties. A one-piece seat with a raised pillion and more comfortable looking grab handles replaces the BN600R’s separate rider and passenger seats.

Other features include twin 320mm front brake discs with radial calipers, 240mm rear brake disc, 50mm upside-down fork and a spring preload adjustable suspension.
