Marvel Comics and Harley-Davidson are continuing their partnership in next Captain America movie, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier“, with the star-spangled hero riding the Softail Breakout.

Harley-Davidson supplied World War II-era WLA (a.k.a. “Liberator“) motorcycles for 2011’s “Captain America: The First Avenger“, but for the follow-up, which takes place in a modern setting, Captain America needed a newer model.

“Captain America and Harley-Davidson have had a long and glorious association dating back to the introduction of the character in 1939,” says Dino Bernacchi, Harley-Davidson marketing communication director. “He’s ridden different Harleys throughout the history of the character, and his bike for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” needed to fit the modern day setting of this story. Our newest model, the Softail Breakout, with custom touches that personalize the bike for his character was the perfect choice for this film.”

The second film, set to open April 4, 2014, pits Captain America against a new yet familiar foe while trying to adapt to a life in the 21st century. Chris Evans reprises his role as the Captain, Steve Rogers. He’ll be joined by “The Avengers” co-stars Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
