Brammo announced a new five-year, 50,000-mile warranty for its battery modules, a first for the electric motorcycle industry. The warranty applies to all Brammo models, including all previously purchased models. And for a limited time, Brammo is promising a full trade-in value for the original purchase price for all models for 12 months.

All batteries degrade over time, with charge capacity decreasing anywhere from 10% to 30% over five years depending on usage, and the Brammo warranty won’t prevent that natural decrease. What the BrammoPower warranty does do is ensure its power modules remain within its proper limit, given its age and the mileage of the motorcycle, offering protection against unusual degradation due to component defect or workmanship.

Under the warranty, Brammo will either repair battery modules or replace them with a new module with an energy capacity at or above the level of the original battery prior to the failure.

“The 5 Year BrammoPower warranty is another industry first for Brammo and underlines our complete confidence in the reliability and durability of the BrammoPower battery systems,” says Ron Luttrell, Brammo director of sales. “Our commitment to customers is second to none and I am delighted to confirm that our new five year battery warranty will apply to all Enertia Plus, Empulse and Empulse R motorcycles that have already been purchased.”

And for all Brammo motorcycles purchased from now to the end of September, Brammo will guarantee a full manufacturer’s suggested retail price trade-in value for 12 months when upgrading to a newer Brammo model.
