Just released in the Google Play Store, Night Riders 3D is a rather basic motorcycle racing game, perfect for killing time, say, while waiting at the DMV. The premise of the game is simple: use the touch controls on your phone or tablet to control the racer’s speed and direction as he races down the road. Along the way, dodge other racers (they’re more like moving roadblocks rather than real competition) and complete various checkpoints to reveal a new stage and new scenery.

Inspired by motorcycle racing games of the 80s, you can change the difficulty of the game and also choose between eight tracks and three courses. Overall, the basic game is very simple. And addicting. Check out the video below to see the entire gameplay. Night Riders 3D is available for free at the Google Play Store, or you can download it for $1.95.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
