MV Agusta is returning to the international racing scene, signing a three-year contract the ParkinGo race team to compete in the World Supersport Championship.

ParkinGo technicians will handle the development of the MV Agusta F3 675 for Supersport competition. As yet, no riders have been announced for the ParkinGo MV Agusta team. The team’s task is to bring racing glory back to MV Agusta which lists 37 world titles with Giacomo Agostini.

The three-year agreement was signed Nov. 22 on what would have been the 65th birthday of Claudio Castiglioni, the late MV Agusta president and founder of Cagiva.

“It gives me great satisfaction to announce this agreement with Team ParkinGO,” says Giovanni Castiglioni, Claudio Castiglioni’s son and successor. “Personally speaking, for me it is a big and exciting challenge as I have inherited from my father the passion for racing. I am convinced that with the experience of engineer Massimo Bordi, who is involved in this project as well, we have all the right components needed to get important results.”

At the moment, the team is only set to compete in the World Supersport class, but it’s possible MV Agusta may later decide to move up to the World Superbike class with its F4.
