Husaberg announced its 2013 lineup of off-road models including both two-stroke and four-stroke models. Internationally, Husaberg will offer four FE four-stroke models and three TE two-stroke models but the U.S. market will only be offered three FE and two TE models.
The 2013 Husaberg four-stroke lineup is comprised of the new FE250, the returning FE350, the FE450 and the FE501. The FE501 was Husaberg’s first ever model introduced in 1989, followed by the FE350, and both model designations return for 2013 with modern engines (510cc for the FE501 and 350cc for the FE350). The FE450 will not be available in the U.S.
The two-stroke lineup is comprised of the TE300, TE250 and the TE125. Only the TE300 and TE250 will be available in the U.S. market.

All 2013 Husaberg models receive new chrome-molybdenum steel double-cradle central tube frames and fiberglass-reinforced polyamide subframes. According to Husaberg, the new frame offers high torsional stiffness to improve cornering and reduced longitudinal stiffness to help the rear suspension absorb rear wheel impacts.
The rear suspension uses a new swingarm Husaberg claims weighs about 10.6 ounces less than the previous unit. The new swingarm has a new pivot point for the WP PDS shock absorber, 5 mm closer to the center. The rear shock itself is 7mm longer than the one used on previous models with Husaberg claiming greater progression and better bottoming resistance.
Up front, suspension is provided by new 4CS closed-cartridge WP forks. The new four-chamber technology is said to offer constant damping through the entire travel while also weighing less than previous components. Rebound and compression damping are adjustable.
All 2013 Husaberg FE models are equipped with electric starters with kickstarters available as an option. The TE250 and TE300 come standard with both electric and kickstarters while the TE125 uses only a kickstarter
The FE models are equipped with fuel-injected liquid-cooled engines. According to Husaberg, the engines use lighter-weight pistons, connecting rods and balancer shafts, cutting 4.4 pounds while reducing rotating mass and engine vibrations. Because of the lower rotating masses, the cylinders can now be conventionally aligned instead of being inclined 70 degree forward as in all previous four-stroke Husaberg models since 2009. The more vertical alignment simplifies the routing of the header pipes, offers a lower center of gravity, reduces intake noise and allows for a larger airbox.
The two-stroke TE models get new V-Force four reed valve blocks and optimized intake snorkels as well as the new larger airbox.
The FE350, FE450, FE501, TE250 and TE300 models receive new lighter clutches with integrating damping to reduce wear and new pre-load mechanisms with diaphragm springs to ease operation.
Other updates to the entire line include transparent fuel tanks (2.5 gallons for four-strokes, 2.8 gallons for two-strokes), aluminum silencers, Brembo brakes, plastic skid plates and handguards and lighter aluminum wheels.
