The 2012 Red Bull Hare Scramble finals at Austria’s “Iron Mountain” will be streamed live on KTM’s website.

The annual Hare Scramble is the culminating event of the 18th Erzberg Rodeo at Austria’s Erzberg “Iron Mountain”. The Red Bull Hare Scramble attracted 1800 entries this year from 35 countries. Those entries will be whittled down to just 500 who will compete on the final day of competition June 10 at 11 a.m., Austrian time (5 a.m. EST, 2 a.m. PST).

The finals will be streamed online at KTM.com as well as RedBull.com and ServusTV.com. The early-morning air-time might be too early for some North American racing fans, but those who watch can see the whole four-hour race in its entirety as well as behind-the-scenes interviews and highlights.

The Hare Scramble is a grueling race and one of the world’s most difficult off-road events. Last year’s event saw only 20 competitors complete the race in its four-hour time limit.

KTM factory rider and five-time Red Bull Hare Scramble winner Taddy Blazusiak will not be seeking his sixth-consecutive win this year due to a conflict with his AMA EnduroCross commitments but the Austrian manufacturer will be well represented by three-time enduro world champion David Knight riding the KTM 300EXC.
