Electric scooter company Evolve is donating for auction one of its wild-looking Xenon electric motorcycles — a dead ringer for the light cycles seen in TRON: Legacy — with proceeds going to benefit Global Green USA (www.globalgreen.org).

Designed by Parker Brothers Custom Choppers, the Evolve Xenon is powered by a 60ah custom li-ion battery providing a claimed range of 30 miles, with a 3-hour charge time. A Xenon XR is available with a 120ah battery providing a claimed range of 100 miles and a 4-hour charge time. The Xenon’s bodywork/frame is crafted from fiberglass, with functioning LED tape light trim on the body as well as on the perimeter of the bike’s 32-inch hub-less wheels.

The auction winner will get to choose the color of the LED light tape as well as the size of the battery powering the Xenon. However, completion of the auctioned Xenon will take 90 days, with the winner pay shipping costs. And if the winner lives in either California or New York they’ll have to pay applicable sales tax. The 60ah Xenon has an MSRP of $55,000, while the XR model retails for an additional $10,000.

The auction is currently open and is to close Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 3:00 pm EDT. To learn more and/or bid, visit: http://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/294327

The heart of Evolve’s product line consists mostly of scooters, with the Xenon the only “motorcycle,” but the company is also working on a more traditional, naked-style two-wheeler called, Lithium.
