The TTXGP electric racing series released its 2012 North American schedule and announced the World Championship Final event will be held in Daytona, Fla.

The World Final features the top riders from the TTXGP’s different championships. Last year’s final was originally to be held in Spain but had to be moved to the U.K.’s Anglesey International Circuit.

For the first time, the championship final will be held on American soil at the storied Daytona International Speedway on Oct. 19-21.

The North American arm of the TTXGP will have four events in 2012.

As usual, the season begins at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. TTXGP will be in Sonoma May 4-6, the same weekend Infineon hosts an AMA Pro Racing round.

Round two will take place June 23-24 at Portland International Raceway in Portland, Ore. The event will be part of the Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association’s EV festival.

The third round will be held alongside an American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association event Aug. 31-Sept. 2 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.

A fourth round is planned but a date and location has yet to be confirmed.
