Captain Kirk Prefers Wheels on His Motorcycle
New Star Trek movie proves hover bikes are for sissies
Captain Kirk either loves or hates vintage rides. One moment he’s sending a vintage convertible over a cliff side, the next moment he’s riding a motorcycle with two wheels when he could clearly be riding a hover bike much like the cop who was chasing him. Hover bikes must not be manly enough for him. Check out the trailer in this post to see what I’m talking about.
The new Star Trek movie, which is a “reboot” of the series, is out today (May 8th, 2009). Trekkies rejoice! And non-Trekkies rejoice because this movie looks completely badass and so does Captain Kirk. The movie was directed by J.J. Abrams, the man who brought us the TV shows “Alias” and “Lost” and the giant monster movie “Cloverfield”, which proves he is quite capable of churning out an action packed Star Trek movie.
And of course Captain Kirk would ride a motorcycle, he’s Captain Kirk! And how else do you portray badass’ness other than seating them on a motorcycle?
