While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car. Additional footage not seen in the show will be posted on the Antiques Roadshow website once the episode has aired.

The segment is to premiere on PBS stations nationwide Monday, April 29th at 8pm/7pm Central. Check your local listings to confirm the air date and time.

Stephen King will be making a guest appearance on the hit TV show, Sons of Anarchy, later tonight.  King will play a character named “Bachman”, which I’m sure was no coincidence since he had published under the pen name “Richard Bachman” for several years.

Stephen King is a motorcycle enthusiast and was excited to get a tricked-out, bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide to ride for the filming of the episode.  See his comments about the production here.

In June 2000, the UK Government launched a campaign called, Think! Road Safety, the goal is to reduce road deaths and serious injuries by sending a message to people to take responsibility for their own safety as well as others on the road.

The campaign in the past has produced TV spots that were taken off the air due to their gruesomeness but they have taken a much more gentle and humorous approach with this one.

After six seasons, the run is finally over for America’s favorite dysfunctional custom chopper family.  The not so surprising news was announced on Saturday, February 6th by TLC.

The Teutuls will always be a part of the Discovery family and we congratulate them on a tremendously successful series run.

The show was already on its last legs due to all the family drama which includes a lawsuit between Paul Teutul, Sr. and his son Paul Teutul, Jr. over the family business, Orange County Choppers, regardless its still a great run for any TV series.  The last episode airs on Thursday, February 11th at 9pm.

I wouldn’t hold it against anyone if they have never seen an episode of Cake Boss on TLC but after I saw the promo for last nights episode I couldn’t miss it.  Buddy (the cake boss) is asked by a couple of members of the Hells Angels to make a cake, although its not on the same scale as the Go Daddy cake its still interesting to see how they put it together.

FX has committed to another season of thirteen new episodes bringing back all of the series regulars.  The season finale, that aired on December 1st, drew 4.3 million viewers, the most the show has ever registered, season two enjoyed a 66% increase in total viewers compared to season one.

Kurt Sutter, the creator of the show has signed a two-year extension to write and produce the series, so I guess they are planning ahead to season four as well.

If you missed it the first time around, the National Geographic Channel will be airing the Motorcycle Crash Tech show again tomorrow (Thurs, Sept 24th).

An extraordinary behind-the-scenes look at the remarkable new technologies being used to avoid motorcycle crashes, and prevent injuries or even death when a racer or rider does go down.

FX Networks, the producer of the TV show The Sons of Anarchy, are giving away a 2009 Harley-Davidson FXD Dyna Superglide motorcycle that has been customized by Eagles Nest Harley-Davidson where there will be a special autograph signing with some cast members this Sunday, August 16th between 2pm and 4pm.

The new season is set to premiere on Tuesday, September 8th at 10pm.

Love him or hate him you have to admit that Criss Angel is entertaining.  Sure, many call him an imposter or a big fake but then aren’t all illusionists or magicians scam artists (other than Pen & Teller anyway)?  I am not a big fan of his delivery or style, the fact that he thinks he’s the coolest guy on the planet but if you get past that he is worth a look.
