Last year, the “American Chopper” TV franchise was reinvigorated by a special live show that brought in nearly 5 million total viewers and was the most-watched show among men of the entire TV schedule’s night. Called “American Chopper Live – The Build-Off,” the show pitted the Orange County Chopper crew against Paul Jr. Designs and the irascible malcontent Jesse James. We had a special interest in the show because Motorcycle.com Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke was invited to be a guest judge on the show. You can read his story here.

With that ratings bonanza in the bank, the Discovery Channel’s “American Chopper” juggernaut is developing an even bigger build-off event scheduled to take place this December. The new event sees the inclusion of the Gas Monkey Garage team of Richard Rowlings and Aaron Kaufman from Discovery’s “Fast N’ Loud” series going head to head against the three rival shops from last year.

The infamous “American Chopper” TV juggernaut rolls on, with a two-hour special to be broadcast tonight and culminating with a live event on Tuesday evening in Las Vegas.

The interesting thing about this week’s shows is that I’m in Vegas as a guest critic of the builds, a three-team competition between Paul Teutul Senior, Paul Junior and the notorious Jesse James. Earlier today I got a chance to see the vehicles for the first time, and what a trio it is!

Check out our exclusive first looks at their builds after the jump.

In a press release from Discovery Channel, Jesse James is slated to appear in two episodes of American Chopper in December on Discovery Channel.

The release states that the two-episode event is a head-to-head build off between Orange County Choppers, headlined, of course, by the notoriously famous Teutul family, and James.

According to the release Chopper fans will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite bike after seeing the three finished products during the regularly scheduled American Chopper on Monday, Dec. 5, at 9pm ET/PT.  The following evening,Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 9:00pm ET/PT, American Chopper Live will air straight from the strip in downtown Las Vegas, NV.

This has bike-building circus written all over it.

Jesse James, the man behind Monster Garage, might die. But I doubt it. His new television show “Jesse James is a Douchebag Dead Man” is Jesse toying with death through a variety of different feats and stunts he will perform.

And by toying with death I mean he’ll be taking as many safety precautions as possible to make sure that death is not even in the equation. What does that spell? Well, I’m sure you’ll see some cool stuff like explosions and cars doing flips on the show but no real serious danger.

But hey, it’s TV, not a snuff film! I don’t know about you but after watching the “Making of a Dead Man” documentary on the show, I can’t help but roll my eyes. There seems to be a lot of hype on that show about things that just don’t impress me. It also seems that Jesse’s cast and crew think that pretty much everything will kill him.

The TV Network SPIKE will be airing Jesse’s new show starting on May 31st (this Sunday) for all who are interested in explosions and machismo. Probably the best way to watch it is with a bikini clad girl in one hand, and some NOS Energy Drink in the other while listening to Kid Rock. Extreme.
