MV Agusta has undergone a lot of big changes the last few years, first with Russian Timur Sardarov gaining control of the brand from Giovanni Castiglioni, and more recently with KTM AG acquiring a 25.1% stake.

Say, didn’t I already ride an MV Agusta F4 Claudio replica ten years ago? Yes, yes I knew it. But that one was officially the 2006 F4 CC (Claudio Castiglioni), and it was a fantastic, carbon-fiber clad delicacy with a delicious, leaned-upon F4 four-cylinder filling. This new one again invokes the name of former MV president Claudio C. (whose son Giovanni now runs the operation), to produce the coolest, lightest, most exclusive F4 ever.

MV Agusta and coachbuilder Zagato have released more information and high resolution photos of the F4Z. As expected, the F4Z is just a one-off creation, so no, you will not be seeing it in showrooms. As it turns out, the F4Z is a custom order commissioned by an unnamed Japanese businessman who asked Zagato to build a motorcycle that was unique yet classic and didn’t subscribe to any fleeting trends.

MV Agusta released a video teasing a new one-off motorcycle produced with coachbuilder Zagato. The Italian design firm is best known for creating bodywork for exotic cars such as Maseratis and Aston Martins, so a collaboration with a company like MV Agusta seems like a natural fit.

EICMA, the biggest motorcycle show of the year, is just around the corner. Hosted in Milan, EICMA is the international stage where the major (and some minor) manufacturers will reveal their new models. This week’s Top 10 is all about bikes we’re excited to see at the show. Truth be told, there are more than 10 bikes to choose from – Husqvarna’s three street models, and a possible KTM 1050 Adventure, are just a few which barely missed the cut. It’s no secret, when it comes to low-RPM fueling MV Agusta’s been literally stumbling over itself. The company’s premiere F4 and F4 RR models have also been berated for throttle lag and intrusive traction control. All unacceptable characteristics of an ill-programmed ECU on an exotic motorcycle commanding a lavish ownership fee.
