Zero Motorcycles has signed a distribution deal with the Brazilian dealer network Grupo Izzo, bringing its electric motorcycles to first Brazil, and soon across South America.

Brazil is one of the world’s fastest growing markets for motorcycles, a market Zero hopes to tap with its new distribution deal. Grupo Izzo is based mainly in Brazil with 11 locations, but has plans to expand into other South American countries.

“Zero Motorcycles has experienced exceptional growth throughout Europe, and now we are pleased to be expanding our sales and distribution channels to Brazil to continue the enhancement of Zero’s international reach,” says John Lloyd, vice president of world wide sales for Zero Motorcycles. “Our partnership with Grupo Izzo will allow us to expand Zero Motorcycles’ presence in the Southern Hemisphere while giving motorcycle enthusiasts the opportunity to experience our high performance electric motorcycles throughout South America.”

IMG_1613The Advanstar Dealer Expo is America’s largest motorcycle trade show, and it entices dealers with all kinds of new products that you’ll be seeing on shelves in 2010. Hosted, as always, in Indianapolis, this year’s show has contracted in size compared to previous years, but there was still plenty of cool stuff aimed at riders like us.

The Indianapolis Convention Center housed about 240,000 sq. ft. of show space and about 750 vendors. There was so much to see that we wore out our feet trying to see it all. Check out the link to our photo gallery of some of our favorite items we saw, and stay tuned to check out our full report on Tuesday. Continue Reading »

For a limited time, a Harley-Davidson dealer in St. Louis will be shelling out five shares of HD stock with every motorcycle purchase or will give you stock if you bring in a friend to purchase a bike.

Harley has been going through some difficult times this year, posting losses for the first nine months of 2008. Total Harley-Davidson brand motorcycle shipments decreased 16,948 units or nine percent to 226,898 bikes.

The stock is currently trading at $15.67 per share but the 52-week high is $50.04. Given the current economic climate, most companies out there are hurting but investing in the right companies today could payoff big later. If you intend on going long, more than likely you can count on getting a good return on investment, not to mention the stock too!
