A commercial for the Nissan Juke about the Japanese manufacturer’s crossover automobile’s motorcycle-inspired center console is sending a very anti-motorcycle message. The controversial video (look for it after the jump) has the Juke chasing down motorcyclists and running them down in a parking garage.

Automobile manufacturers often tout “motorcycle-inspired” design elements, and the shape of the center console in the Nissan Juke (pictured above) is one example. (We’d post a picture of what the Juke looks like from the outside but we don’t think the Juke needs the promotion; besides, in the words of reviewer Derek Kreindler on our sister site, Autoguide.com: “The Nissan Juke is ugly.”)

But while other manufacturers describe the two-wheeled inspiration in more or less respectful tones, Nissan has taken a different approach, describing the center console as a hunting trophy from the Juke’s run-in with a motorcycle gang.

Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance tuning subsidiary AMG has released the first of likely many commercials featuring its partnership with Ducati. AMG and Ducati announced their partnership in November, which includes sponsorship of the Ducati MotoGP as well as various marketing and cross-promotional opportunities.

In the video above, a handsome European couple race from their luxurious beachfront home to a slightly less luxurious beachfront restaurant for breakfast. The man hops into the seat of a C63 AMG Coupe while the woman straddles a Ducati 848 EVO (both, along with all the buildings apparently, in a similar shade of off-white).

This being AMG’s show, of course, the car wins. I’m not sure about anyone else though, but I’d definitely take the Ducati (and the girl!) any day.

Here is a very well done and funny AD for Benihana, a chain of restaurants offering teppanyaki style Japanese cooking.  The commercial uses their famous tiki mugs, a veggie motorcycle and a big load of shrimp that sets the stage for the big jump over the grill.

Check it out after the jump.

Picture 1Now this has got to be the slickest, coolest and most entertaining scooter gear commercial I have ever seen.  If you can believe everything that’s shown in the AD, Armadillo scooterwear can take a licking of extreme measures, from fire to pie throwing clowns you can be confident your fully protected.

There’s even a Directors cut, check out both versions after the jump.

Ok, it’s not THAT new… Somehow it slipped passed me back in April.  I guess I was too busy watching people do wheelies on scooters.

The new 2010 Honda Fury TV spot has a lot of quick edits of intense scenes including a shark jumping up at your face and various animals and people screaming at you.  Let’s not forget the dude getting punched in the face and people getting blown around by a tornado.

Ya, it’s INTENSE and kind of scary.  You don’t see too much of the bike except for it standing stationary near the end.

Hit the jump to check it out.  You might need a hug after watching it like I did.

Vespa has posted up 2 new videos promoting their 2009 Vespa LX 50 4T 4V, 2009 Vespa LX 150 and 2009 Vespa GTS 125 Super.

I don’t know about you but I feel like listening to my iPod when watching these videos.  The dancing silhouettes have been done before, Vespa…  Also, the dancing people work better for an advertisement of a music player then for a scooter, but I guess you are trying to show people how much fun Vespa scooters are.

And they do look like fun, especially whizzing around some European town.  But are they fun enough to dance too?

Hit the jump to see the video for the 2009 Vespa LX 50 4T 4V, LX 150 and the GTS 125 Super.  And for anyone who is interested, here is a review of a 2007 Vespa GTS 250ie.

Once upon a time, the motorcycle industry wasn’t concerned about appealing to women riders. When Men were Men, Motorcycles were Motorcycles and Women were also Motorcycles.
