The trip is about 520 miles and will take them about a week and a half (Google maps claims the trip should take 8 hours), hopefully because they are sight seeing or visiting family and friends along the way, unfortunately its more likely it will take this long due to the limited range of the batteries in the Enertia bike.

The electric bike can go up to 60 mph and has a range of 42 miles but takes about 4 hours to charge on a standard 110 V outlet, they claim the trip will only cost $4 in electricity. Another big negative on the Enertia is the price tag, $11,995, the bikes are available at Best Buy.

On September 3, 2009, the five core motorcycle riders will depart from Newark International Airport at 8:42 a.m., the actual departure location and time of United Flight 93, and will be joined by hundreds of other riders along the approximate 3,000-mile journey.

More details after the jump.

Ride with the Forty, will finish what the 40 heroes could not. We hope that people will join us as we ride to complete their intended flight path and remember their great sacrifice,” said Ken Nacke, member of the Families of Flight 93.

After leaving the Newark International Airport on September 3, the group will stop in Shanksville at the temporary memorial site and will end in San Francisco on September 11. Some of the expected stops will be:

Joliet, Illinois (Sept 4)

Omaha, Nebraska (Sept 5)

Cheyenne, Wyoming (Sept 7)

Reno, Nevada (Sept 9)

Union City, California (Sept 10)

The group will be traveling with a temporary memorial, a 6′ by 8′ section of chain link fence where people can attach tribute items. To join the riders, monitor their progress, or donate to the construction of the permanent National Memorial, visit www.ridewiththe40.org. Look for updates from the road and the specific locations of the convoy and traveling temporary memorial.

Aerosmith is not going to break up but instead will be on strike until their frontman, Steven Tyler, sobers up. Tyler has fallen off the wagon and was partying way too hard during the 69th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally when he fell off the stage during their show ending the tour for the year.

Everyone is very worried about him, all of this didn’t happen overnight. Sturgis was just the final straw. Said a source who wished to remain anonymous.

It takes something very special to infiltrate a group like the Hells Angels. The police can’t do it because during the investigation an informant might be expected to commit certain crimes. We can’t place our own people in a gang like that. Unidentified police source.

Allegedly, Boulanger gave investigators details from meetings that were held in July 1994 when members of the Hells Angels voted in favor of a gang war against the Alliance for control over drug turf in Montreal and Quebec City, it lasted for about eight years.

The previous believed record for buying information was $1.75 million CAD that was signed back in March 2000 but the informant, Dany Kane, took his own life just months after agreeing to the deal. Kane, was a member of the Rockers, a defunct Hells Angels affiliate gang.

Boulanger, became a full-patch member in 1993 and was sergeant-at-arms for the Sherbrooke chapter, he reportedly retired from the gang in 2001 (can you even do that?), good luck Sylvain!
