New 2010 Buell Blast has Impressive Specs

Now how do I ride this thing?

Buell is getting their priorities straight these days, and nothing says this more then their new 2010 Buell Blast (pictured above).

How do you ride that?

You don’t. Buell has deemed the Buell Blast as “cute”, which does not fit in with their drive towards making the best and fastest sportbikes out there.  And so they’ve crushed their remaining Buell Blasts and will try to ignore the bike ever existed (probably).

The Buell Blast was a cute little motorcycle. It just never made much of a sportbike. But, as luck would have it, it makes a killer ottoman. Or end table. Or art piece.

Believe it or not, Buell has submitted the New 2010 Buell Blast to Motorcycle.com’s own Specs tool, featuring specs and data on this fancy new Buell ottoman.

New 2010 Buell Blast Specs

See the rest of the post for the 2009 Buell Blast and then the crushed 2010 Buell Blast version.

Rocking Horse Motorcycle is Rockin’

Your kid will be a man at age 4

Maybe if I had one of these as a child instead of a traditional rocking horse, I’d be out building log cabins, competing in arm wrestling competitions, and “man’ing up”, instead of sitting at my comfy desk, looking at pretty pictures on the internet with my iMac and sipping Orange Pekoe tea.

You want to set your kids on the right path early on in life.  Starting them on a rocking horse hog could one day lead them to being the next Jesse James or Evil Knievel.

You want that, don’t you?

In the words of Jesse “The Body” Ventura in the movie Predator:

Bunch of slack-jawed f#@!#s around here. This stuff will make you a god damned sexual Tyrannosaurus, just like me.

See the rest of the post for more shots of this custom made motorcycle rocking horse.

Claiming to be the worlds first, the compressed natural gas chopper was unveiled in Orange County, New York, by none other than Paul Teutul Sr., of Orange County Choppers (OCC) who constructed the chopper for the Chesapeake Energy Corporation. The build will be on OCC at some point this year, not many other details at this point.

TLC’s American Chopper will be featuring Sarah Palin airing tonight at 9pm.  The Orange County Choppers crew has decided to dedicate tonight’s show to celebrate the 50-year anniversary since Alaska became a state by building a custom chopper to honor the special occasion.

Paul Teutul Sr. claims he was initially nervous before the interview but felt Palin was “a real down to earth person to talk to”. Maybe so but I would be careful not to offend her with that bear claw laying right beside her, grrr!

Ducati Hypermotard Help Destory Mankind [Video]

Ducati posts a video, tooting their own horn

Did you know those killer motorcycles in the new Terminator Salvation movie (out on May 21, 2009) are Ducati Hypermotard bikes?  I guess the Ducati designers around the time of judgment day decided they should go for a more scary and human-destroying look.

Or the Italian Ducati designers were killed by Italian terminators, and then the machines took over designing the new bike…  I don’t think I’m a fan of their creative concept.

Ducati Motor Holding have just uploaded a video on Youtube tooting their own horns, proud that these life destroying vehicles are really Ducati’s at heart.

Hit the jump for their video and a few pics.

Harley Skateboard Trick – Awesome Motorcycle Jump

Everything needs to be jumped over on a skateboard

Everything needs to be jumped over with a skateboard at some point in human history.  People, benches, cars, cats, senior citizens, conclusions, ships, …. I’m getting a little metaphorical here…  Why not motorcycles?  Let’s jump some motorcycles on a skateboard and let’s make them Harley-Davidson motorcycles to boot.

Harley is on fire with releasing “viral video” to promote their Dark Custom line and have now released this interesting video of a “modded” skateboard with fireworks strapped to it flying over some bikes.  Personally, I think it  looks like the guy is hanging from a wire when he crosses over those bikes.

Fake? Real? What do you think?

The Ride of a Lifetime by Paul Teutul Sr.

Foreword by David Letterman

According to the New York Post, David Letterman is a big motorcycle fan and could watch the same bike being built all week long. One of Letterman’s bikes did appear in the September 2008 issue of American Iron Magazine and he also wrote the forward to Paul Teutul Sr.’s new book “The Ride of a Lifetime” so I guess he walks the walk and talks the talk.

If you don’t already know who Paul Teutul Sr. is then you have probably never heard of his TV show American Chopper on TLC which first aired in 2002 or Orange County Choppers (OCC), the name of his bike shop. Teutul opened OCC in Upper State New York back in 1999, they produce and sell 150 custom bikes a year that start at $30,000. He has appeared and stared in many TV shows, including Long Way Round, My Name Is Earl, Celebrity Family Feud, Late Show with David Letterman (eight times), Nickelback’s Rock Star video and had a small part in the film Wild Hogs.
