You’ll find all 10 of the cheapest scooters slide easily under the bar from $1,300 to $1,800. Only a $500 difference between 10 models. In fact the competition is still strong even among the 30 or so least expensive scooters. A $600 spread among the 20 least expensive and an $800 spread among the 30 least expensive scooters topping off around $2100. So you many not want to limit your selection to the Top 10. Do your research and find out if that extra $500, $600 or $800 is worth the scrilla’ depending on your personal needs.

If you are looking into buying an inexpensive scooter this year – the chances are you will only have one option when it comes to power. An assortment of 50 cc 1-cyclinder 2-stroke engines have become standard issue. For those who desire a little more power there are still some 125 cc and 150 cc options on the market which are still able to slide in at a low price.

The one brand dominating the Top 10 list QLINK, taking 1st place with standings in Top 10, 20 and 30. Competitive brands include E-ton, Kymco, Hyosung, Schwinn, SYM, United Motors, Piaggio, Yamaha, Honda and Aprilia – Almost everyone! Vespa has posted up 2 new videos promoting their 2009 Vespa LX 50 4T 4V, 2009 Vespa LX 150 and 2009 Vespa GTS 125 Super.

I don’t know about you but I feel like listening to my iPod when watching these videos.  The dancing silhouettes have been done before, Vespa…  Also, the dancing people work better for an advertisement of a music player then for a scooter, but I guess you are trying to show people how much fun Vespa scooters are.

And they do look like fun, especially whizzing around some European town.  But are they fun enough to dance too?

The new GTS 300 Super offers mostly cosmetic changes meant to create a more sporting aesthetic, such as the side grill, a red spring on the front shock, two-tone alloy rims, a black-rimmed headlight and a new chrome air intake. While the range-topping 300still isn’t ideal for highway transportation, the added torque should help with passing or riding two up.

Scooter excitement hit an all-time high this summer as two and four wheeled commuters alike looked for an economical ride. Gas sipping scoots’ seemed quench the expensive petrol thirst for many forced to fend-off their rising budgets. Luckily for us, Steve Guzman was there to get the low-down on the scooter market.
