A year after publicly unveiling its all-new American made sport touring models at Daytona Bike Week, Motus Motorcycles announced production plans and pricing for the 2013 Motus MST and MST-R. Perhaps the biggest news however is Motus has opted to use fuel injection for the MST and MST-R instead of its originally planned gasoline direct injection system.

Motus has released a video of its new V4 gasoline direct injected Motus MST sport tourer undergoing testing at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala.

The video shows two prototypes of the American-made and designed motorcycle. The saddle-bag equipped silver model is the Motus MST while the black model is the higher-spec MST-R. We’ve seen the MST-R before in Troy Siahaan’s Motus MST Preview, but only without its fairing. Now we can see (and hear!) the Öhlins-equipped MST-R and its sibling on the race track.

“I had no idea I was going to be on such a capable motorcycle,” says test rider Mike “Thermosman” Fitzgerald, Öhlins USA roadracing manager. “I couldn’t wait to get back on there and do it again.”
