Premier vintage motorcycling event returns to
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, July 6-8

PICKERINGTON, OH – June 12, 2018 – The Motorcycle Classics Vintage Ride and Show, sponsored by Motorcycle Classics magazine, is among the highlights of the opening day of 2018 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

2018 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, the nation’s premier vintage motorcycling event, is July 6-8.

“Join us in the infield starting at 10 a.m. Friday (July 6) for the show,” said Motorcycle Classics Editor-in-Chief Richard Backus. “Then, at noon, we’ll head out for a 50-mile ride on lovely back roads. After that, we’ll return to our show grounds for an awards ceremony.”

AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey is looking forward to this event.

“AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days is all about being involved, and the Motorcycle Classics Vintage Ride and Show is a perfect example of that,” Massey said. “We are looking forward to having some beautiful bikes on display in the Old Bike Barn Crossroads. And we know participants are going to enjoy their ride and lunch.”

More information about the Motorcycle Classics Vintage Ride and Show is available at www.motorcycleclassics.com.

In addition to the Motorcycle Classics Vintage Ride and Show, 2018 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days features racing, live music at the Old Bike Barn Crossroads stage, seminars and motorcycle attractions.

The AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Swap Meet, brought to you by Federal Motorcycle Transport, brings hundreds of vendors together to sell, buy or trade bikes, parts and memorabilia.

The event also features the AMA Vintage Grand Championship, which features road racing, motocross, hare scrambles, trials and flat-track racing.

Current production bikes will be on hand for display and demo rides.

“AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days is the granddaddy of all vintage motorcycle events, the coolest and most dynamic on the vintage motorcycle calendar,” Backus said. “We’re thrilled to once again host the Motorcycle Classics Ride and Show.

“There are lots of great events on the calendar, but none of them has the history or provides the kind of experience as AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days,” he continued. “It’s grassroots motorcycling at its finest — three glorious days shared with thousands of hardcore bike enthusiasts, mixing it up with racing, a mind-blowing swap meet, demo rides, club shows, food, music. It’s kind of the Woodstock of motorcycle events … just without the hair!”
