Fan of vintage motorcycles? Looking to add one to your collection, but don’t have a lot of time to look for the bike you want? Motoauct.com could be the solution you’re looking for. Now’s your chance to meet the Motoauct.com guys, as they’ll be attending The Quail Motorcycle Gathering.

Begin press release:

Motoauct.com, the premiere online auction site dedicated to vintage motorcycles, continues to see growth. Since going live last year, thousands of registered users have joined the site’s virtual vintage motorcycle community, participating in dozens of successful auctions and socializing on the site’s forums.

Co-founders Jason Williams and Jason Delacroix are always looking for opportunities to grow their site and engage with the vintage motorcycle community. The Quail Motorcycle Gathering allows them to do just that and see some of the greatest vintage motorcycles in a beautiful setting.

“The Quail is the perfect place to meet like-minded vintage motorcycle enthusiasts,” said Jason Delacroix, Co-founder of Motoauct.com. “We’re looking forward to a weekend of great riding, debuting our CB750 build and auctioning it off live on Motoauct.com .”

Held at the Quail Lodge and Golf Club in Carmel, California, the Quail Motorcycle Gathering is an annual Concours d’Elegance motorcycle show that draws thousands of attendees and features hundreds of bikes judged in competitive categories.

The Motoauct.com co-founders will also use the occasion to auction off a passion project they’ve been working on for several months: a junk yard Honda CB750 that they’ve rebuilt and refurbished from the ground up into a Café racer inspired hot rod.

“It has been such a fun project,” said Jason Williams. “And now some lucky person will reap the benefits of our labor as we auction it off live on Motoauct.com.”

Motoauct.com continues to offer big savings over “tent-pole” auction houses, which doesn’t mean they haven’t experienced some growing pains. But, based on constructive feedback, the two co-founders consistently strive to streamline their process and enhance the online experience for their members.

Culled from hundreds of e-mail suggestions, Motoauct.com has rolled out a series of new features over the last month. Among other changes, users now have the ability to follow and track their favorite auctions via e-mail alerts, receive reserve notifications on all auctions and utilize RSS feeds. They’ve also added an option that allows sellers to list bikes at a one-time, buy-now, fixed price so they don’t have to wait for an auction to end, and the site now features a parts page, so users can sell vintage motorcycle parts, as well as entire motorcycles.

In addition, there is now a page dedicated to sold auction items so members can see all the great vintage bikes that have changed hands, and the site also offers new user tips, including a visual tutorial on the best ways to photograph motorcycles to facilitate successful sales.

And this is just the beginning: the co-founders have many more ideas they’re waiting to implement—but first they’ll indulge in a well-deserved sojourn to the Quail, rub elbows with thousands of vintage fanatics and unwind in the best way they know how: on a bike. Then it’s back to work.
