Mid East Hare Scramble Racing Series sanctions with AMA for 2018 season
Organizer says AMA sanction means benefits to riders

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The Mid East Hare Scramble Racing Series, a staple of the off-road scene in the Carolinas, will sanction with the American Motorcyclist Association for the 2018 season.

The 16-round series visits some of the more famous racing venues in the South, as well as many other exceptional locations in the area.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome the Mid East Hare Scramble Racing Series back,” said AMA Off-Road Racing Manager Erek Kudla. “I know a lot of the big names come down to race the series on their off weekends. And the hard work they have been putting in to make it successful shows. I’m looking forward to a great year of racing and riders coming out of the Carolinas.”

The series features racing for bikes, ATVs and Youth and Women classes, as well as classes for riders of all ages and skill levels. Mid East also will be hosting Round 2 of the SRT AMA East Hare Scramble Series, an AMA Regional Hare Scramble Championship.

“After being away from AMA for several years, Mid East Hare Scramble Association is glad to be back with AMA,” said Buren Hamrick, owner and operator of the series. “My staff and I are excited to offer the many benefits that AMA has to our riders.”
