Yup, you read that correctly…

73-year-old Australian cattle farmer, identified only as Jim, was riding his motorcycle on his farm, checking for hatching grasshoppers when he crashed and broke his C1 and C2 vertebrae.

“I cracked my head on the ground but I don’t think I was knocked out,” the beef farmer told 3AW, an Australian radio station.

“I got to my feet, I knew there was something seriously wrong. My head wouldn’t stay up.”

What did he do? He got back on his motorcycle and rode to his house holding his head up by his hair before calling an ambulance.

After receiving four bolts in his skull, Jim is expected to make a full recovery.

“I’m a lucky fella, that’s for sure.”
