Long considered the crown jewel of the American Flat Track series, the Springfield Mile is the longest-running event on the AFT circuit, and constitutes one of the most prestigious wins in all of motorsports. Once again, AFT Twins riders will get two shots at Harley-Davidson Springfield Mile victories in 2018, first at the Memorial Day weekend event May 27, 2018, and again during Labor Day weekend on September 2, 2018.

In 2017’s Memorial Day event, Indian Motorcycle’s Bryan Smith and Jared Mees went one-two over Estenson Yamaha’s Sammy Halbert. In the Labor Day event it was an Indian Motorcycle podium sweep, with Mees and Smith trading places, and Brad Baker beating Halbert for third. The 2018 action is sure to be every bit as hot and heavy.

Few events in all of racing can match the tradition, grandness and visceral excitement of an afternoon and evening at the Illinois State Fairgrounds watching 100-plus-horsepower motorcycles dive into corners at well over 100 mph – sometimes two and three abreast. There’s nothing like that in all of racing, and there’s nothing like the Springfield Mile. Best of all, it happens twice again this year, so get your tickets now and secure your spot in what’s arguably one of the greatest spectacles in all of motor racing.
