Kalashnikov Electric Motorcycle

Giant Russian defense firm Kalashnikov, best known for producing the world-leading AK-47 assault rifle, are now producing an electric motorcycle for military and police use. It only makes sense really, since according to this report at PopularMechanics.com, the US is also working on electric bikes. Stealth is often a good thing to have on a battlefield, but then so is a range of more than 93 miles, which the Kalashnikov is reported to have.

Looking at the bright side, nothing moves technology forward like getting the world’s military forces interested and competing against one another; an electric motorcycle arms race could see us riding 250-pound bikes with 1000-mile range and H2R performance within a decade.
