2017 Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship Heads to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

The 2017 Canadian Superbike Championship comes to a head this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Bowmanville, Ont.

Points leader Jordan Szoke will look to win his 12th CSBK title (and third in a row). Competing on an S1000RR, Szoke will also be trying to secure points towards the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy, the international cross-championship challenge for BMW road racers. Szoke won the trophy last year and will look to defend his title at CTMP.

Not only will Szoke race in the CTMP double-header, he’ll also be performing in a freestyle motocross show during the race weekend.

CANADIAN TIRE MOTORSPORT PARK SET TO HOST MOPAR CANADIAN SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLE HEADER SEASON FINALE

(BOWMANVILLE, Ont. – August 15, 2017) Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) is set to host Canada’s top motorcycle road racers August 18-20 as they compete for the national Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship. The weekend event features the final two races of the 2017 season and will showcase a number of championship battles.

Jordan Szoke, of Lynden, Ontario will be back again looking to secure his third consecutive (and 12th overall), Mopar Pro Superbike Championship riding his BMW S1000RR. Fierce competition is sure to come from challenger Kenny Riedmann of Belfountain, Ontario, sitting a mere 60 points behind Szoke – Riedmann pilots a Kawasaki ZX-10R. National titles will also be secured in other classes including Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike, Magneti Marelli Amateur Superbike, Shoei Helmets Amateur Sport Bike and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 Racing Series – the weekend schedule includes a full slate of racing action.

New for 2017 at CTMP is Jordan Szoke’s Extreme Show set to perform a high-adrenaline freestyle motocross show on Saturday and Sunday. Unlike traditional motocross, freestyle places more emphasis on the abilities of the daredevil riders who perform mesmerizing jumps over a stretch of up to 75-feet, providing a fun and unique experience for race fans to watch. With the purchase of an event ticket, fans can enjoy the exciting off-track action and have access to paddock areas, CTMP Marketplace, Pinty’s Trackside Grill and the CTMP Official Merchandise Trailer.
