Discover SHARK’s MotoGP Race-R PRO Profile with Jorge Lorenzo

Chicago, IL (June 27, 2017) – Go behind the scenes at SHARK Helmets Head Quarters with Jorge Lorenzo to discover how the MotoGP Race-R Pro Profile – exclusively dedicated to competitive racing – was developed.

The flagship product of the SHARK Helmets’ Racing line, the Race-R Pro is the choice of many successful racers in competitive racing. The iconic model of the product line features the latest breakthroughs in terms of safety, optical attributes and aerodynamic research.

In the video, watch Jorge Lorenzo work with SHARK Helmets Research and Development engineering teams collaborate to refine a new aerodynamic profile, exclusively dedicated to competitive racing, that enhances the level of penetration into the air at very high speed while ensuring the rider’s complete stability – a culmination of work that took place over several months.

The development of this prototype, which has successfully passed the entire catalog of certification tests, is the outcome of advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CDF) simulation testing.

Surface analysis and optimization of fluid flow on and along the helmet was carried out.

This state-of-the-art, ‘very high speed’ profile has been prototyped on the 3D printer installed in SHARK Helmets’ R&D Department.
