360fly, Inc., maker of the category-leading, single-lens camera that captures stitchless 360-degree video, today announced a partnership and integration with RaceRender, an innovative overlaying software platform specializing in custom video data displays. The partnership enables the delivery of a first-of-its-kind 360-degree telemetry overlay video experience for 360fly camera users.

To achieve a data-overlay experience, most action cameras need to be paired with a secondary data-gathering device which requires additional editing time to sync the video and data in post production. The 360fly 4K camera is unique in that it captures the video and data all at one time. The camera’s built-in autonomous GPS, gyroscope and accelerometer chips, as well as its e-compass feature, make the 360fly 4K camera one of the smartest action cameras available. Users can upload 360fly 4K video to RaceRender and seamlessly add video graphic overlays for data, such as track maps, lap timers, speed, best lap times and more.

“Our integration with RaceRender represents yet another example of our ongoing efforts to innovate and raise the bar with advanced technologies for 360-degree video and the broader action camera market,” said Peter Adderton, 360fly CEO. “In-video statistical data overlays are the ultimate bragging tool, as racers, riders and action sports enthusiasts display critical performance data, including top speeds, lap and race times and more.”

360fly users can take advantage of RaceRender’s custom video data displays in a variety of use cases, including any type of racing, snowboarding/skiing, mountain biking or even while flying a drone. To begin, users must first download the program at RaceRender.com. After recording with a 360fly 4K camera, users can then upload to the RaceRender platform and add compelling data. When users enable the camera’s GPS within the mobile app, the camera will capture latitude and longitude, altitude and speed. Users can conveniently edit and share their custom video directly from RaceRender to social channels, such as Facebook and YouTube.

Specializing in consumer-level 360-degree video, 360fly brings immersive video and mobile VR to the masses with its affordable camera offerings and its intuitive mobile app. 360fly allows users to easily shoot, edit and share 360 video to popular social platforms like Facebook, YouTube and more.
