With two rounds to go in the 2016 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship, Yamaha bLU cRU road racers Cameron Beaubier, Josh Hayes, Garrett Gerloff, and JD Beach are all in close contention as the “Fast Four” continue their quests for the Championships this weekend on the world stage at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA.

Also, for fans who attend this weekend’s World Superbike event, the Yamaha Display Area in the Marketplace at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will be bustling with exciting activities for everyone.

Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Factory Racing: Beaubier & Hayes
Currently leading the 2016 MotoAmerica Superbike points standings is defending Champion Cameron Beaubier, who will be aboard his #1 Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbike this weekend, trying to bolster his 25-point lead over Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Factory Racing teammate and four-time AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes, who will be aboard his #4 R1 Superbike.

MotoAmerica Superbike Superpole (Qualifying) begins at Laguna Seca on Saturday, July 9, at 3:40 PM PST. Superbike Race 1 will go green on Sunday, July 10, at 11:45 PM PST, and Superbike Race 2 is set for later on Sunday at 3:45 PM PST.

Yamaha Extended Service (Y.E.S.)/Graves/Yamaha: Gerloff & Beach
Like their Superbike counterparts, Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha teammates, Garrett Gerloff and defending MotoAmerica Supersport Champion JD Beach are also engaged in an exciting Championship rivalry aboard their equally prepared Yamaha YZF-R6 machines. With seven race wins this season, Garrett is leading the 2016 Supersport Championship by 23 points over JD, who has notched six race victories of his own. Garrett will be aboard his #31 Yamaha R6, while JD carries the big target–the #1 plate–on his Yamaha R6.

MotoAmerica Supersport Qualifying 1 is this Saturday morning, July 9, at 9:45 AM PST, and the Supersport Race is scheduled for Sunday morning, July 10, at 9:30 AM PST.
