Tales from Guinness World Record holder Danell Lynn, tips on customizing vintage bikes, repair tips from a long-distance rider and more are part of the seminar program during AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, July 8-10, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

“Not only does AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days offer the thrill of old bikes, it also allows us to meet and learn from those who live and breathe motorcycles, some whom have even turned their love of motorcycles into a career,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. “The seminar program is designed to educate, entertain and inspire motorcyclists, both veteran and new riders.”

Featured speakers include:

  • Guinness World Record holder Danell Lynn, who will present “1 woman, 1 bike, 1 year” about her year-long, 50-state motorcycle excursion on a Triumph Bonneville. Lynn’s ride broke the Guinness World Record for Longest Journey by Motorcycle in Single Country. She totaled 48,600 miles in the lower 48 United States, surpassing the previous record of 23,761 miles, set by Manigandan Manjunathan of India.
  • Tony Prust of Analog Motorcycles in Gurnee, Ill., a custom bike builder who combines skills from past careers and interests, such as audio engineering and carpentry, to create motorcycles and components that are complex in thought and design, yet simple in execution. Learn from the pro and see how you can customize your very own machine.
  • Buck Carson, co-owner of Carson Classic Motors Museum in Texas, who will give a presentation on his cross country ride.
  • Long-distance rider Paul Pelland, who will give two presentations: “Tips, tricks and hilarious repair tales from a rider now documenting a million miles for Multiple Sclerosis,” and “What does an Iron Butt veteran’s saddlebags and Granny’s purse have in common?”
  • T.J. Tennent, who will discuss the right tires for your bike, how to repair a motorcycle tire, how many miles you can get out of a tire and more during “Motorcycle Tires 101.”
  • Elizabeth Allen, AMA racer and adventure riding school instructor, who will speak about handling adventure motorcycles and getting the most out of your machine.
  • Dallas-based motorsport analyst, rider and strategic communications leader nearly two decades Griff Allen, whose address, “The Introvert and the motorcycle,” will identify which people are fascinated by motorcycles for the excitement, action and applause they create or for the tranquility, curiosity and reflection they inspire.

New for this year, all seminars will be held in one location: The Goodyear Tower, located in the road racing paddock.
