Ohlins Fastest Lap Award For AMA Pro Flat Track

Whoever sets the fastest lap time at a 2016 AMA Pro Flat Track GNC1 event will receive $500 from Öhlins USA.

AMA Pro Racing proudly announces the newly formed partnership with Öhlins USA, one of the leading brands in motorsport suspension technology, for the 2016 AMA Pro Flat Track season. In the new partnership, riders in the Harley-Davidson GNC1 presented by Vance & Hines will be able to chase the Öhlins USA “Fastest Lap Award” at each round in 2016.

The Swedish suspension brand has a long history in motorcycle racing as one of the top-tier suppliers in the world, and is enthusiastic about their endeavor into AMA Pro Flat Track. Öhlins USA will be creating a custom rear shock called the ILX36 that will be specifically tailored to the unique demands of professional Flat Track racing. “It’s something that we’re passionate about and have wanted over the past few years,” said Jeff Baucom, Marketing Manager at Öhlins USA. “Being racing enthusiasts, Flat Track has always been something that we desire. Öhlins USA will have a presence at several AMA Pro Flat Track rounds in 2016 to support riders utilizing their products, and giving fans an opportunity to check out their signature gold product lines.

Öhlins USA is also showing their support for the paddock in the form of a new contingency prize, the Öhlins USA “Fastest Lap Award.” The rider who turns the fastest lap time in each Harley-Davidson GNC1 presented by Vance & Hines main event will be presented with a check for $500.
