Thousands of motorcyclists rode to the MV Agusta factory in Schiranna, Varese last weekend to celebrate the memory of Claudio Castiglioni. The unforgettable weekend ended with a grand prize drawing for the “Claudio Castiglioni” edition MV Agusta Turismo Veloce motorcycle.

The winning number was 2180, drawn by DJ Ringo, who, with many other illustrious guests such as WSS championship riders Lorenzo Zanetti and Jules Cluzel, Giacomo Agostini, ex-Dakar rider Ciro and other well-known personalities surrounded by the numerous fans, turned out to admire yesterday’s and today’s motorcycles built at the Varese factory. This is the holy land for many fans, which Saturday evening also became the venue for the much-applauded concert with Paul Bernadoli and the group Peter’s Room.

More than 300 bikes were entered in the show, many of them from abroad, especially Germany, Switzerland and Holland. Among the prize-winners was a Cagiva Elefant 900 with more than 345,000 km on the clock, a splendid Aermacchi TV 350 and a customised F4 bearing the AMG livery. Mercedes Benz was also represented by the famous 300 SEL “Rote Sau” and a flame red GT S coupé.

The day ended with a final burnout, with fans using the symphony of the motorcycle engines as a last loving tribute to the unforgettable Claudio Castiglioni.
