The reborn SWM (Speedy Working Motors) launched its new line of motorcycles at last year’s EICMA show. Eight months later the first all-new RS 650 R rolls off the production line. The RS is the first model in a planned family comprised of seven models: SM 650 R, RS 300 R, RS 500 R, SM 500 R. In the second half of October there will be the production of the “classics” Silver Vase 440 and Gran Milano 440. Production runs for 2015 are projected to be between 2500 and 3000 motorcycles

“I’m glad to celebrate once again a great achievement,” says Ampelio Macchi, CEO SWM Motorcycles. “In just eight months we have been able to re-establish a company from scratch, thanks to Shineray Group, that supported us with big investments in the SWM models production.”

The state-of-the-art SWM facility is located in Lombardia, Italy and boasts 27,500 square-yards and 60 employees. Distribution of SWM bikes is initially set for European countries where it will retail for €6,400. followed by Australia, New Zealand, China, Israel and Lebanon. Approvals for selling in North and South America in 2016 are under way, with other countries in their closing stage.
