This just in from the Almost Too Cool To Be (True But It Is) Department, American Honda Finance Corporation Senior Vice President David W. Paul presented Harry Adler, a longtime Honda owner, with his 55th Honda motorcycle, a 2015 Honda CB300F. Adler, 84, has owned Honda products ranging from a Helix scooter, Grom, CRF230M, CBR250R, VT600CD, VTX1300 and VTX1800C. In another display of tremendous loyalty, Adler purchased 48 of his motorcycles from Horner Honda in Salisbury, Maryland. The Honda financial connection to Adler comes from the 38 purchases funded through Honda Financial Services.

“Over the years, my number-one form of recreation has been motorcycle riding, and based on my experience, Honda is the best,” said Adler, who has ridden motorcycles since 1963 and currently owns eight Honda motorcycles, plus two Honda generators. “They make a great product, and the people that represent the company are wonderful. The dealers that I’ve been in contact with over the years have always been very responsive and taken really good care of me, especially Horner Honda, which I’ve used for the last 20 years. The CB300F was sort of the one bike that I was missing in my portfolio, and this gift was quite a surprise. I look forward to riding the bike.”

“It’s rare that a company gets the chance to honor an outstanding customer like Harry Adler, who’s shown unsurpassed loyalty,” David W. Paul said. “We’re thrilled to be able to recognize Harry’s longstanding commitment to both the Honda brand and Honda Financial Services. It’s truly a pleasure for us to be able to present Harry with his 55th motorcycle, a new Honda CB300F. We hope his new bike brings him years of riding pleasure and adds to the enjoyment Honda products have already given him over the years. We love having Harry as part of the Honda family.”

We at Motorcycle.com would like to say that it is also rare for a company to acknowledge a loyal customer in such a generous way. Perhaps that old slogan is more than marketing hype: “You meet the nicest people on a Honda.”

Like most of the best happenings in his life, Evans stumbled into his motojournalism career. While on his way to a planned life in academia, he applied for a job at a motorcycle magazine, thinking he’d get the opportunity to write some freelance articles. Instead, he was offered a full-time job in which he discovered he could actually get paid to ride other people’s motorcycles – and he’s never looked back. Over the 25 years he’s been in the motorcycle industry, Evans has written two books, 101 Sportbike Performance Projects and How to Modify Your Metric Cruiser, and has ridden just about every production motorcycle manufactured. Evans has a deep love of motorcycles and believes they are a force for good in the world.
