AGV is introducing a new replica helmet design with the handprint pattern Valentino Rossi wore for this year’s MotoGP race in Misano. Rossi first wore “Misano, ci dà una mano” (Italian for “Misano gives us a hand”) helmet design during Free Practice 3 and again in the race itself where he won his first race of the season.

The distinctive design features the handprints of Rossi’s Team Movistar Yamaha mechanics, his friends, as well as the paw prints of his dogs Cesare and Cecilia and cat Rossano. Also painted on are lipstick kisses from his mother Stefania Palma and his girlfriend Linda Morselli, and the fingerprint of Rossi’s personal helmet designer, Aldo Drudi. The helmet also features his usual number 46 as well as the number 58 in honor of Marco Simoncelli.

In the video below, Rossi explains the process behind his special edition helmet designs and the symbolism the Misano design.
