Take it 2 The Track, a popular trackday organization running events in Southern California, has announced it is ceasing operations. In a message sent to Motorcycle.com, Ti2TT management stated, “Our decision rests primarily on the fact that we, as individuals, are all progressing through life. We still love riding, but other areas become more demanding of our time.” Ultimately, the decision also came down to money. “Organizing trackdays, while fun and rewarding, is neither quick, easy, nor lucrative. We are thankful for our peers who continue the endeavor.”

The letter continues, “Over our decade-plus history we have operated most of the tracks in the Southwest. That includes having been one of the first groups to host an event at Chuckwalla, all three pieces of pavement at Spring Mountain, Inde Arizona, and our staples of Buttonwillow, Big Willow and Streets of Willow. Fun times were had by all, and we will miss the shenanigans both on and off track.”

“Moving forward, you may see us and our staff participating at our peer org’s events; TrackXperience, Let’s Ride, Trackdaz, and FasTrack.

We will miss you all,

The Take it 2 The Track Ownership Trio
Rick, Evan, and Christian”

A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
