The following is from a Honda press release:

American Honda today officially presented its 2015 Team Honda lineup to the media during a press event held at the Castillo Ranch supercross track. Factory riders Trey Canard and Cole Seely were the stars for this overview of the race program as the team approaches the highly anticipated 2015 AMA Supercross season.

The day opened with an introduction from Honda Team Manager Dan Betley, who reviewed the successful end to the 2014 season and discussed the changes made during the off-season to improve the program even further. Betley presented the team’s new staff members, including two important principals from HRC, Motocross Representative Director Keisuke Inomoto and Motocross Technical Director Yasuhiro Yokoyama.

“We’re very excited with the path we’re on right now,” Betley said. “We started from a solid foundation as we headed into the off-season, and since then we’ve worked hard and intelligently. Testing is going well, and with the increased support we’re receiving from HRC, we’re already seeing measureable improvements with the bike and program. We’ll continue working hard right up until the first round of 2015.”

Betley went on to congratulate returning racer Canard, who has been with Team Honda his entire 450 career, and to welcome premier-class rookie Seely to the squad.

“I’m really proud to continue my long relationship with Honda,” Canard said. “It was great to finish out the 2014 season on a high note, but I’m even more excited for what’s to come. The bike is working better than ever, and it’s amazing to see the team firing on all cylinders. Everyone is really motivated, and we’re expecting great things in 2015.”

Seely was enthusiastic as well. “It’s an honor to be a part of a team with such an incredible history,” he said. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with Team Honda as a substitute rider, but it’s cool to get to officially be a part of it and to see everyone in preparation mode over the off-season. I’ve been working really hard on my fitness, and I can’t wait for January to come.”

Following the introductions and a technical walkthrough of the 2015 Team Honda CRF450R, Canard and Seely met with members of the media for one-to-one interviews and photos before taking to the track for a pair of photo and video sessions for the journalists and team sponsors.

Team Honda will kick off the 2015 AMA Supercross season on January 3 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
