While it sometimes seems like motorcycle passengers get the short end of the stick, we saw one product at the 2014 AIMExpo in Orlando, Fla. that might make the riding experience more enjoyable and safer for the person on the back of the bike – Grip-n-Ride.

Grip-n-Ride is a belt worn by the rider that gives the passenger four different handles to choose from for hanging on.

Left Coast Mobility Systems, which makes the Grip-n-Ride, says the belt is made out of lightweight, breathable material. As well, each of the four handles is designed to hold up to 350 pounds. The Grip-n-Ride also doubles as lumbar support for the rider.

The belt attaches to the rider with Velcro and a buckle closure. It comes standard in a variety of colors starting at $89. Perhaps the coolest feature, however, is that you can design your own belt with a logo, crest or photo, all on Grip-n-Ride’s website at Grip-n-Ride.com. As an added bonus, you can use the promo code “gripsafe” to get 20% off until December 31, 2014.
