New Sena 20S Headset Boasts Bluetooth 4.0 Technology
Sena Technologies, Inc., today announced the Sena 20S, the latest in Sena’s long line of motorcycle and powersports Bluetooth communication systems. The 20S features several industry firsts, including Bluetooth 4.0 technology with dual Bluetooth communication modules, to create one of the most advanced Bluetooth headsets available on the market. The 20S incorporates Audio Multitasking allowing conversation with others while simultaneously listening to music or GPS, and a multi-way conference intercom giving users the ability to intercom up to eight riders for up to a 1.2 mile radius.
With a sleek new body design and impressive smartphone app, Sena’s 20S transforms communication between riders, offering a new and improved way to enjoy the journey ahead. The 20S is now available at the Sena website or through retailers across North America for the price of $299 for a single kit and $549 for a dual kit.
The Sena 20S provides an aerodynamic design that offers a versatile jog dial to maximize the ease of use for riders. The 20S features several industry firsts, including the introduction of Bluetooth 4.0 technology with dual Bluetooth communication modules. The new Bluetooth technology increases the performance and reliability of the headset while also allowing for increased high definition audio quality.
Along with the Audio Multitasking feature, the rider can experience a seamless blend of incoming and outgoing audio to create a mixed audio experience versus the traditional interruption based audio technology of other Bluetooth devices on the market. Intuitive voice commands have been built into the 20S to ensure riders can maintain hands free control while riding. With the 20S, users can call hands-free with their Bluetooth mobile phone, listen to stereo music, FM radio or voice instructions of GPS navigation by Bluetooth wirelessly, and have intercom conversations in full duplex with a passenger or other riders.
To accompany the new Sena 20S, Sena has also launched a new smartphone app available for users to download on both iPhone and Android smartphones to allow users to adjust and control the settings of their 20S. The smartphone app allows for simple pairing and offers full control of all device functions including basic configuration settings, speed dials, FM radio preset stations as well as access the Quick Start Guide and current firmware updates. In addition, the Sena 20S includes Group Intercom feature allowing users to instantly create a conference intercom with up to eight additional participants that can then be managed with the smartphone app for a quicker and simpler set up process.
The Sena 20S is completely firmware upgradeable to ensure it remains compatible with all of the latest Bluetooth technology. These firmware upgrades are free to all registered Sena customers.
