Fans of EnduroCross are quite familiar with the GEICO name, and they’ll continue to see the name since the company has re-signed as the title sponsor of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil.

Beginning as a presenting sponsor of the series in 2007, GEICO became the title sponsor in 2008 and will retain that notoriety through the end of the 2014 season. GEICO’s relationship with EnduroCross doesn’t end with sponsorship, though. The company plays an active role in the promotion of the sport assisting the expansion of the indoor off-road racing series to new venues in more cities. For example, GEICO’s support helped to include two new cities in the 2014 season, which increases the number of rounds from seven to nine events.

“AMA EnduroCross is a fast-paced, high energy sport that embraces the competitive racing spirit,” said Ted Ward, GEICO vice president of marketing. “2014 marks the eighth year that GEICO has participated as a title sponsor, so we are excited to be a part of the EnduroCross Championship, which provides a great opportunity to connect with some very passionate race fans.”

The opening round of the will coincide with the Monster Energy Supercross finals weekend on May 2nd. The GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship’s finals will be held this year on November 22nd in Ontario, CA. Additionally, the X Games Enduro X event in Austin, TX will contain a points-awarding event for the AMA EnduroCross Championship.
