As the official handlebar of AMA EnduroCross, Pro Taper is not only supporting the talented EnduroCross competitors through their line of premium handlebars, but it is, once again, bringing the extremely popular Pro Taper Foot Race to the EnduroCross night program. The Pro Taper Foot Race puts 10 lucky fans that are chosen from local radio promotions in each market bar-to-bar behind the starting gate. When the gate drops it’s an all-out sprint around a lap of the challenging EnduroCross course—on foot!

The highly popular intermission event gives lucky fans an up-close and personal look at what it’s like to race on the world’s most challenging off-road courses. And the fans in the seats get an entertaining, wild show.

Las Vegas will again host the opening round of EnduroCross on Friday, May 2, during the Monster Energy Supercross finals weekend. The traditional EnduroCross finals in November will now be held Nov. 22 in Ontario, Calif., The X Games Enduro X event in Austin, Texas, also will be included as a points-paying event for the GEICO AMA EnduroCross championship.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
