Rev'it Commissions Custom Jackets For The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show
As a sponsor of the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show, Rev’it USA will celebrate the spirit of custom design with the commission of original artwork from four Texas-based artists, for a dedicated exhibit of motorcycle jackets at The Second Skin Jacket Show. The show takes place April 11 and 12, 2014 to coincide with the MotoGP event at the Circuit of the Americas.
Local Austin artists Brian Philips, Fort Lonesome, Rich Cali and Logan Hirsch will customize four Rev’it Roamer jackets with handmade, one-of-a-kind artwork. The commission is a nod to the show’s mission to revive the culture of physical craftsmanship through the medium of motorcycles.
Rev’it is pushing into the urban market with products that provide the highest level of protection under the camouflage of classic, vintage-inspired design. In addition to the jackets, Rev’it will display its Redhook and Flatbush jackets; Campo and Lombard jeans; and Rodeo, Mohawk and Ginza boots at the April show. Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast.
